The EMS10, EMS20 and EMS50 Emergency Microphone Stations are EN54 compatible emergency microphones which?provide live and pre-recorded message broadcast into user selected zones. The EMS10 provides 10 button selection?capability whilst the EMS20 provides 20 buttons, and the EMS50 is formed from a 20 button EMS20 together with an?additional 30 button EMX30 expansion unit. All microphones also provide EN54 compliant emergency functions and all?EN54 mandatory indicators and controls.The microphones are housed in a lockable wall-mounting box and feature a graphic LCD display together with indicators?for ?Power?, ?Voice Alarm?, ?System Fault?, ?Fault? and ?Speak Now?. The LCD display provides remote access to the list of?active faults in the PA/VA system, while the EN54 mandated control keys enable navigation through the fault list, and?also provide remote fault acceptance and clearance.The microphones have multiple PA/VA system interfaces and can be connected directly to either one or two ASL audio?routers, enabling multiple options for system redundancy. The microphones will operate in an All-Call hardware bypass?fallback mode even in the event of processor failure within the host Voice Alarm Router1. This hardware bypass function?also operates across whole facilities when the microphones are used in conjunction with ASL?s Intellevac safety audio?network. There is also a non-EN54 RJ45 Ethernet IP interface with Power over Ethernet capability2 for VoIP connections?to ASL IP based PA/VA systems. All interconnect cabling and the microphone capsule is continuously monitored for?open and short circuits.

The EMS01 Emergency Microphone Station is an EN54 compatible emergency microphone which provides All-Call functionality for making live emergency announcements to entire facilities. The microphone provides EN54 compliant emergency functions and all EN54 mandatory indicators and controls. The microphone is housed in a lockable wall-mounting box and features a graphic LCD display together with indicators for ?Power?, ?Voice Alarm?, ?System Fault?, ?Fault? and ?Speak Now?. The LCD display provides remote access to the list of active faults in the PA/VA system, while the EN54 mandated control keys enable navigation through the fault list, and also provide remote fault acceptance and clearance. The EMS01 has multiple PA/VA system interfaces. It can be connected directly to either one or two ASL audio routers, enabling multiple options for system redundancy. The EMS01 will operate in an All-Call hardware bypass safety mode even in the event of processor failure within the host Voice Alarm Router2 . This hardware bypass function also operates across whole facilities when the microphone is used in conjunction with ASL?s Intellevac safety audio network. There is also a non-EN54 RJ45 Ethernet IP interface with Power over Ethernet capability3 for VoIP connections to ASL IP based PA/VA systems. Top, bottom and rear cable entry points are provided by means of ?knock-outs? in the enclosure, while the field connections are provided by means of a set of terminals on the inside rear panel of the back box. The EMS01 is compatible with the whole range of ASL Voice Alarm and Public Address systems4 , and is designed to comply with EN54-16, ISO 7240-16 and BS5839-8. Versions with multiple PA/VA zone select buttons are also available for applications which require this.

The AEL02 Active End of Line Device enables ASL amplifier systems to monitor either single or dual loudspeaker circuits without the need for DC blocking capacitors in the loudspeakers. This makes it ideal for retrofitting into existing installations where it is not possible to modify the installed loudspeakers. The loudspeaker monitoring using the AEL02 is fully compliant with BSEN 5839 Pt 8. The AEL02 operates by utilising 30 Hz and 20 kHz surveillance tones that are output by the iPAM400 Intelligent Public Address Amplifier Mainframe, or by LSDDC or LSIDC amplifier interfaces in other types of ASL amplifier systems*,**. The AEL02 derives power from the 20 kHz surveillance tone, and monitors the line integrity by detecting the 30 Hz surveillance tone. On detection of the 30 Hz surveillance tone, the unit introduces a periodic signal current which the standard circuit within the ASL amplifier systems unit can detect. If the 30 Hz tone is lost due to open or short circuit, then this periodic signal disappears and a line fault is reported. The earth monitoring circuit within the ASL amplifier system can still detect ?real? earth faults.

The Loop Matching Transformer product range consists of the LMT100, LMT200, and other variants. All units in this range are IP65 rated loop matching transformer units, which enable the ASL 100V Line amplifiers to drive low resistance Audio Frequency Induction Loops (AFILs). These induction loops are typically installed as a single turn conductive loop in passenger lifts, platform shelters, ticket offices, and other areas where it is required to provide a direct transmission of a Public Address or Voice Alarm broadcast to hearing aid wearers.?

The ILP01 Induction Loop Panel provides an easily mounted induction loop solution for areas requiring localised induction loop coverage. For installations such as railway stations this will be for Ticket Halls, and areas such as platforms, passageways, and concourses. This Induction Loop system helps service providers comply with the Disability Discrimination Act requirements for the hearing impaired, with the minimum of installation work, and of impact to the aesthetics of the site.The ILP01 Induction Loop Panel is fully compatible and integrated with the Application Solutions range of Public Address and Voice Alarm systems, typically using 1, 2 or 3 loops driven from a M100 100 W amplifier. The location of the amplifier in the PA (Public Address) racks provides increased reliability and reduced maintenance cost compared with local amplifier solutions, and also enables the provision of standby amplification and battery backup.In London Underground (LUL) applications the ILP01 Induction Loop is suitable for installation either on the wall or on the ceiling above the journey planner board. When wall-mounted it is suitable for installation at 2.5 metres nominal height whereas when ceiling-mounted it is suitable for installation at 3.5 metres nominal height.Ticket Hall installation normally requires two panels and an optional infill panel, while a single panel can be installed where a smaller coverage area is adequate, e.g. in passageways or concourses. Up to three panels can be driven from the same feeder line in different areas of the same PA zone without loss of performance. Each panel can be connected to the 100 V feeder line of an ASL PA system in the same fashion as a loudspeaker, and an end-of-line (EOL) resistor is fitted on a terminal block in each loop panel to terminate the line.The ILP01 is fully compliant with AFILS (Audio Frequency Induction Loop System) standard BS EN60118-4, and LUL Induction Loop specifications. When installed as outlined on the following page the coverage area exceeds 6 sqm in Ticket Halls, and is in excess of 2 sqm for journey planners in platforms, concourses, and passageways.
